I have to say Dave, I genuinely have a little chuckle every time I read you posting about Carlton. There is actually pure hatred there!

See what I mean?

He's being treated like some sort of fucking God like player, coming to the end of an illustrious career, having won every honour there was, and giving the public one last chance to say goodbye to this icon of a footballer.

Fancy meeting and saying good bye to West Ham striker Carlton Cole in person? Sky offering fans the chance to meet him on The Fantasy Football Club on Sky Sports this week.

John Fendley and Paul Merson present a weekly discussion on key fantasy football issues, as well as the weekend’s Premier League matches. Also featuring guests from the worlds of sport and showbiz.

You can see Cole in person by being in the studio audience, so if that appeals to you drop them an e-mail at fantasyfc@skysports.com to secure a studio audience place.

You need to be able to make your own way to Sky Studios in London on THURSDAY evening.

Makes me the laugh the amount of challenges he just doesn't try for. Sakho makes cole look like utter shit because he battles and actually tries to get the ball rather than a half arsed attempt at a header or chasing down the defenders

I felt sorry for Elliot Lee on Saturday, spending ages warming up on the touchline only to look on the pitch to see Cole falling over and doing his usual rubbish. I'd love to know what was going through his mind at the time, and wondering how the fuck that that idiot manages to get so much time on the pitch producing such shit.

And to all you wankers that think he's a legend ''but not in the way Bonds or Di Canio were'', try looking up the meaning of the word.

Oh, and by the way, it's 2015 now, not 2012.

Re: Carlton Cole sentimental crap

If we'd have had any sort of decent striker that year we'd have gone up automatically, not through the play offs. What should have been a certainty became a gamble because we had a main striker who could only get 12 league goals when he was supposed to "tear up the Championship".

So do put it in perspective and imagine where we would have finished if we'd have had a striker that does what it says on the tin in the Champonship - like Lambert.

Where did Southampton finish that year?

Mr. T

TBF mate he is also a very big reason why we were in the Championship in the first place.

I've met him a few times, genuinely very nice guy who seemed to me to care about the club and it's fans, but, let's not get too sentimental, he did turn down a contract extension because he thought he could better elsewhere two seasons ago.

Re: Carlton Cole sentimental crap
I love Carlton Cole.

One of a rare few these days who appears to have a real genuine affection for the club and gives his all, despite his limitations at this level.

I watched the playoff final yesterday and he was immense that day (apart from giving the ball away for Ince's goal).

During his post match interview he was clearly welling up with the emotion of it all - even whilst wearing the most ridiculous wig I've ever seen on a human.

He's a very big reason why we are in the Premier league and for that alone I think he's a legend. Not a Di Canio or Bonds type legend, but a legend nonetheless.

I will miss him.

I'd welcome your honest opinions on his performance vs Everton...???

Personally I thought he was poor as usual...

Pancho,

If you pictured me breaking into you house to defile it and finish off in your pants drawer that's excellent because that is exactly what I am doing now.

I guess I'd better get on message:

Carlton is neither a Legend or a Villian, just a long serving employee. no point to booing him on his last game. A small brief ripple of applause gets it right.

Well done Ronny.

Pancho 12:45 Mon May 18
Re: Carlton Cole sentimental crap
I just pictured you differently - saddens me.

I expected you to be the defiant member of a crowd shot. Everyone given grudging praise and applauding and you with a surly "ahhh go fuck yourselves" look on your face.

Like I say, it saddens me...

Re: Carlton Cole sentimental crap
How is it two faced? Both put in GRAFT.
I've cheered Cole goals, I've cheered a final whistle and win under Allardyce.

You'd have to be a proper weird cunt to be that stubborn not to cheer them when they have succeeded, or not applaud them for the hard work they've put in, even if it's not a great standard.

Pancho 12:07 Mon May 18
Re: Carlton Cole sentimental crap
So you're two-faced Ron?

Good to know.

Surprising, but good to know.

I don't like Cole.
I don't like Allardyce.
I clapped Cole off.
I'd clap Allardyce too if it was his last game too.

Some of you slagging off Cole are the same bell ends who have spent most of the last 4 years defending Allardyce.

You knob heads.
